Ignacio member of U.S. National Academy of Sciences
Ignacio has been elected as an international member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.

The membership in the U.S. National Academy of Sciences is a prestigious honour, with new members elected based on outstanding contributions in their respective research fields. The majority of members hold U.S. citizenship, but up to 30 members are elected annually from international institutions. NAS members are “charged with providing independent, objective advice on matters related to science and technology”.
As a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Ignacio will be affiliated with the Section of Applied Physics, one of 31 sections in total.
