The free scalar chiral current in two spacetime dimensions is a simple yet instructive model whose algebraic structure, on regions with nontrivial topology, makes it an exciting setting for studying entanglement. In this talk, I will present analytic expressions for the logarithmic negativity of two disjoint intervals, both on the line and on the circle. At small separation, a topological contribution appears, mirroring similar results for the mutual information. All results are confirmed by exact numerics on a bosonic lattice.
