Theory Seminar: Certified algorithms for quantum many-body systems

In this talk, I will present a research line that uses ideas from convex optimization to compute properties of many-body quantum systems rigorously. More concretely, I will introduce the idea of convex relaxations, and show how they can be used to compute properties of the steady-state of open quantum systems (based on arXiv:2602.06487) and our current progress in extending these techniques to thermal states (work in progress).
