In this seminar I will show some recent results in magic resource theory. Magic (or non-stabilizerness) is a necessary resource for quantum advantage, together with entanglement. I will give motivation to this statement and then show how magic and entanglement correlate. Moreover, since it has been recently shown that finding a magic monotone for mixed states is a superexponential problem, I will show how Stabilizer entropy is a good proxy for magic in mixed states, in practical state ensembles, in the sense that it behaves as a good monotone almost always, with a vanishing number of failure points.
